Can I add my own music?
Yes: upload a track with your video — AI sets it as background and ducks it under the voice. Use music you have the rights to.

How does Sound first work?
It is a transition for speech cuts: the next clip’s sound starts a split second earlier, and the picture changes on the first words of the new line. AI editing adds it on its own where the shot changes at a speech cut, and in the editor you can put it on any cut — the Transition panel, from 0.3 to 0.8 s.
